Monday Night Football gets "Desperate" for ratings.

What's all the hub bub...bub!? Nicolette Sheridan of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" drops her towel in front of Terrell Owens in a campy segment before Monday Night Football and the world is ablaze in controversy. Parents and concerned citizens called the FCC and ABC and any other organization ending with 'c' and complained. But about what exactly? Was it the fact that a woman was flirting? Was it nudity? (there was none.) What exactly is the offense? Nobody can seem to answer that. Mostly, they hide behind protecting the kids. But from what? the thinking goes that if a kid plays a violent video game, the kid will become violent. Which, by the way, is not true. So, by that argument, the problem is that kids will eventually have 'relations' with the opposite sex. So what? I would hope so. And if you have kids, guess what you have too. Yes you have!
Before the game on ABC nightly news there was a report from Fallujah where they showed 4 insurgents bloody and dead on the street. No one from the Christian Coalition called ABC news asking for a fine as far as I can tell. I guess it is okay because those men were not Christian? During the very same broadcast there were two serious injuries where men were violently hit and very likely will have to miss 'work' and their bodies have to recover. No one is up in arms about that. How about the cheerleaders in skimpy uniforms shown every commercial break? How about the countless alcohol ads? How about the violent men who cuss at eachother and threaten eachother's teammates? No one has a problem with their kids watching men hit eachother, because why? Because we need more soldiers. Because it is okay to be violent as part of a team. A brigade, a troop a team. We support the troops and by doing so, we support and advocate killing. Call it freedom fighting, liberation or whatever you want to, but it is killing. Where are these Christians in that fight? Too busy protesting the abortion and trying to revive Capital Punishment. Whenever you figure that out, call me.
Christian parents: let me clue you in. TV is not your friend. It is entertainment and it is not your right to have it be 'clean.' Why don't you read to your children more? Why don't you talk to your children. Why not use this as an opportunity to explain to your kids healthy sexual ideals? Protection, flirting, loving.Turn the channel.
Even if they see a bit of it and you think they will be deviantly scarred for life, turn the channel and pray.
The other side to this is that there are complaints being lodged and so everyone must feel the same way because they took the time to complain. Well, guess what, I don't care, it didn't bother me. But would I call and tell them that? No! That is the problem. There are Christian Coalition housewives with nothing better to do than cooperate with their 'calling lists' and be pressed into action when the Pastor says so. What a bunch of bullshit. You fucking Zealots. I know that sounds bad, but I believe that. These people have problems and would like you and I to bow down to their church community standards. There is no Coalition of Even Minded and Reasonable People with a calling list to be pressed into action. There are not a group of people who are pushing for "more indecency!" There are no Sinful Coalitions Who Wish to Demolish Family Values! Why? Because people like me are too busy living our lives to tell you how to live yours. I am not anti-family, anti-christian (although they are testing my patience). Unfortunately, these groups seek to limit what I can do, watch, believe and the kind of life I can live. Why is sexual innuendo bad for children. Please answer me that!
anyone? No? Okay. Let's pray.
