Morals did NOT decide the Election!

U.S. Election shows the religious divide. All numbers provided by AP.
I will be brief and show you some of the numbers that the Christian Coalition and the Conservatives are pushing as 'proof' that this election gives Bush a moral imperitave.

_The president had the support of 78 percent of white evangelicals, 23 percent of the voters.

***Read that again and you will see the small number of 23%

_Bush was favored by 61 percent of people from all faiths who attend services weekly; they made up 41 percent of the electorate. Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) drew 62 percent of Americans who never attend worship, but they only accounted for 14 percent of voters.

***So,what about those coverted 59% who would be the majority!!!!

_When respondents were asked to pick the one issue that mattered most in choosing a president, "moral values" ranked first at 22 percent, surpassing the economy (20 percent), terrorism (19 percent) and Iraq (news - web sites) (15 percent).

***First of all, the press is assuming that these people were all Bush supporters. Not True. Statistical data would not even support the idea that the majority was neccessarily Bush or Kerry supporters. It is a false positive. Anyone in Marketing could tell you that. Especially bearing in mind that the +/- margin of error going into and coming out of the election was 3-5% by everyone's estimates.
Secondly, look closely at the wording. It is asking when choosing 'a' president, not this one, not Bush and not Kerry. The supposition being: is a president's moral values important and that means many things... For instance, the question could be about a person's moral stance on abortion. That would be equally important to a pro-life person as it would for a right-to-choose person. The question could be about the morals of going to war; equally important to hawks and doves. So, the data is inadequate.
Lastly, look at the percentages and the totals..... The total is 76% leaving a 14% (almost as important as Iraq) all alone and unaccounted for. Normally in Market statistics you would take
The average of "unaccounted" and take it from the total of the results. That means 14% split four ways is 3% of each total. However, in a 'blind test' (one without demographics or preferential deferrence) you would assume that those who did not answer disagreed with the premise.
Only 2% separated "Moral Values" from "Economy" and 1% from "Terrorism." That's a majority worthy of a mandate? I don't think so. Especially if you consider the disparaging rate between Red States and Blue States. Where are the scholars?

Bear in mind this was not a fair survey. Because what they do not tell you is that the questions and answers were given to the respondents to rank. That is not an accurate survey.
If it were, the accurate answers would read like this:
Pick one issue that matters to you most when choosing a president?
Crime
Abortion
War
Education
Taxation
The lesser of two evils.

Truthfully, at the end of the day, the answers would be only based on personal experience. Who would ever wrap up all of their beliefs in the phrase "Moral Values?" No one. If you were evangelistic, you would have answered: his belief in God. If you were not, it would translate to separation of church and state.

Don't be fooled people. This agenda is rigged, the election is not over. There is a recount going on Ohio- check the date: Nov. 18th. This disinformation and all that goes with it is to futher your belief that this country leans Christian and a revolution is coming. Bring 'em on.
